So breakfast was AMAZING this morning! Fruit, bread, eggs, tea, with all sorts of jam. We got to the guide place by 8:30 but didn’t leave till 9ish. Our main mode of transportation was a motored canoe. We started off with a Selva walk-hike through the jungle. It was cool. Lunch was after and really good! We had some time to swim in the river. We mainly traveled up and down the rio Napo, which eventually feeds into the Amazon River! The river was super low so there was no way to get to the museum. We went to this exotic animal rescue center. To end we went to a kichwa tourism community. They danced for us and showed us how Chicha-traditional drink- was made. There were also Shaman (Natural healer) who was doing limpiezas del cuerpo-mal aire, kinda like body cleansing with natural leaves and smoke.
We arrived in town around 6 and are now back at the hotel. Probably go get some dinner and then play more cards. Heading back to tomorrow. I’d like to go into Tena and check out some places.
